Doug Webster shares his insights from 40 years of hospitality and retail management

It was a little out of our normal podcast range of talking with independent retail owners and managers, but we were so glad to have Doug on the podcast as he shared so many insights that can be used throughout retail.
Doug’s business career spans over 40 years working in management of both Hospitality and the retail sector.
Managing for Canadian Pacific Hotels at the Empress Hotel, Calgary Tower and the Chateau Lacombe hotel. After a progressive retail career of learning the retail business for 10 years with London Drugs he moved on to Staples Canada in 2000 where he has served as the General Manager, 18 years of which have been spent serving the community of St. Albert.
Notably Doug has served as a Director for the St. Albert Chamber of Commerce, Executive for the St. Albert Rotary Club, Trustee for the Rotary Music Festival and a member of the T8N Men who Care organization.
Doug is well known for his community involvement as a sponsor and advocate for small business and St. Albert Schools. Earning his store, the St. Albert Chamber of Commerce “Business to Business” Award for 2019.
Doug’s experience and passion for retail has developed a keen sense of how to be successful in an ever changing retail market place, the value of giving back to the community and necessity for leadership development and community service.
